  • Casting Cosanti and Ceramic Bell-Making Workshops to Take Place at Cosanti Originals in MARCH »

The Scottsdale Gallery Association (SGA) is pleased to announce its annual Native Spirit Gold Palette ArtWalk, which will take place on Thursday, March 5 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The Native Spirit Gold Palette ArtWalk honors Scottsdale’s Native cultures and their role in the past, present and future of the city through art and entertainment.

Taking place throughout the Scottsdale Arts District, which runs along Main Street from Scottsdale Road to Goldwater Boulevard and north of Indian School Road on Marshall Way to 5th Avenue, the ArtWalk will feature authentic and traditional Native performances.

“Our annual Native Spirit ArtWalk is an opportunity for us as artists and curators to showcase Native culture, history and accomplishments through art,” said SGA President Jinger Richardson. “We look forward to welcoming our supportive art community, residents and visitors for this special event.”

Legacy Gallery Scottsdale
7178 E. Main St.

Legacy Gallery Scottsdale is honored to welcome its sister company, Palace Jewelers at Manitou Galleries, for a special evening dedicated to exceptional Native American jewelry across generations. Director and famed Navajo jeweler Tsali Hall will be present to share an extraordinary body of work by master Native American jewelers, spanning historic, modern and museum-quality examples. At the heart of the presentation is a remarkable private collection of works by Jesse Monongya, one of the most visionary Native jewelers of his time. The exhibition also includes significant works by celebrated artists such as Wes Willie, Jennifer Curtis and Arland Ben, including important contemporary works by the late Lee family of jewelers, alongside historic Native jewelry from the turn of the twentieth century. Together, these works trace a powerful continuum — from early historic craftsmanship to the innovative voices shaping Native jewelry today.

In addition, the gallery is honored to welcome acclaimed Cochiti Pueblo artist Mateo Romero for his first appearance with the gallery. Widely recognized for his extraordinary contributions to contemporary Native art, Romero brings a powerful visual language shaped by both his Southern Keresan Cochiti heritage and his experiences in urban America. This special presentation offers collectors and visitors a rare opportunity to engage with Romero’s internationally celebrated work and experience storytelling that is both deeply rooted and powerfully contemporary.

The Marshall Gallery
7106 E. Main St.

The Marshall Gallery is pleased to present an artist meet and greet featuring “Animal Tales from the Spirit: Exploring Myth, Meaning, and the Wild Within.” This exhibition invites art lovers and collectors into a world where imagination and instinct converge through compelling works by a diverse group of artists. Featuring works by Nocona Burgess, Mary Leslie, Nealy Riley, Alvin Gill-Tapia, Liz Wolf and Peter Wright, this exhibition explores the rich narratives and spiritual resonance of animal imagery. Each artwork reflects a unique perspective on the profound connections between humans and the animal realm, celebrating movement, spirit and storytelling through paint, form and texture.

On the Edge Gallery
7045 E. Main St.
On the Edge Gallery will be highlighting three renowned artists during the ArtWalk: Carol Bendell, Jim Grieco and Dean Grissom. Bendell is a working artist and teacher whose passion is reflected in her body of work, which is recognized through featured showings and commission works across two continents, from her beginnings in Chicago to Copenhagen, Honolulu and now Arizona. Since 2020, Grieco has dedicated himself to the art of segmented woodturning. His goal is to push the boundaries of what can be done with wood, always striving to create pieces that capture both the eye and the imagination. Upon his retirement in 2016, Grissom moved to Phoenix, where he now lives and creates art. Living in the western states has allowed him to meet and interact with many Native American people. Their art, their culture, their history and their struggles are the things that influence his art. His artwork creations are made of wood, using wood-burning techniques and India inks to embellish the sculptures.

The Signature Gallery
7177 E. Main St.

During the ArtWalk, artist B.C. Nowlin unveils, “New Pathways,” a powerful collection of original, vibrant and spiritually charged oil paintings that explore themes of transformation, unity and cultural connection. Known for his complex originality and vivid palette, Nowlin creates immersive

compositions that reflect both personal evolution and collective experience. Guests are invited to meet the artist in person at this special reception.

Wilde Meyer Gallery

4142 N. Marshall Way

Wilde Meyer Gallery will present Native American-inspired art in a variety of styles and media from acclaimed artists such as Jim Nelson, Jeremy Serna and Kate Dardine. During this reception, light refreshments will be served.

Held nearly every Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. in partnership with the city of Scottsdale, the Scottsdale Gallery Association’s weekly ArtWalk highlights the finest art in Scottsdale, featured throughout more than 30 galleries and two museums: Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West.

In addition, the SGA’s Gold Palette ArtWalks take place multiple times throughout the year, featuring extended hours, a dedicated theme that often aligns with citywide events and specialty activities including entertainment, refreshments, demonstrations, and more.
