The nonprofit, Honoring America’s Veterans, is hosting the Tattered Flag Project now through Sept. 30th. We are asking members of the community to drop off their worn, torn, or tattered flags at any Spencers Appliance location or the University of Phoenix. Then we hope you will join us for the retirement ceremony, which will take place on Saturday, Oct. 11.

It is essential to retire old, worn and tattered flags either by burial or burning. HAV will conduct a burning ceremony, with an on-site incinerator provided by T. Wayne Cole at the Stand Up For Veterans event.

A light breakfast will be provided at the Opening ceremony but you must RSVP to paula.pedene@honoringamericasveterans.org
