The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Visionaries of the Year Grand Finale Gala is a prestigious event that celebrates the culmination of a ten-week philanthropic competition aimed at supporting blood cancer research and patient services. This competition involves dedicated individuals and teams across various communities who raise funds in honor of local blood cancer survivor, referred to as Honored Hero.

The Grand Finale Gala serves as the climax of this fundraising campaign, where the candidate who has raised the most funds is awarded the esteemed title of Visionary of the Year for their community. Additionally, the candidate with the highest fundraising total nationwide is recognized as the National Visionary of the Year .​

The gala itself is a formal, invitation-only event that includes a cocktail hour, dinner, silent auction, and live auction. It provides an opportunity to honor the efforts of all participants and to celebrate the collective impact made towards LLS’s mission to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients and their families
