Inaugural V Foundation for Cancer Research Phoenix Epicurean

The inaugural V Foundation for Cancer Research Phoenix Epicurean will take place April 24-25, 2026, in the historic Biltmore Corridor of Phoenix.
In its first year, Phoenix Epicurean joins the lineup of a nationwide signature event series from the V Foundation to bring together a dedicated community driven by a single mission: achieving Victory Over Cancer®. With award-winning culinary and wine experiences, immersive conversations with scientists, and exclusive auction lots, attendees will enjoy a one-of-a-kind weekend in Phoenix with 100% of net event proceeds benefiting lifesaving cancer research.

Vintner Showcase Reception, Théa Sunset Patio at The Global Ambassador Hotel: Local chef-crafted bites paired with premium Northern California wines and live entertainment.
Saturday, April 25:
Conversations for a Cure, The Pavilion at The Global Ambassador Hotel: An interactive research symposium featuring V Foundation-funded grantees discussing their groundbreaking research and its direct impact on patients and families.
Epicurean Experiences, Multiple Locations: Guests choose one fully immersive afternoon activity, with options including a wellness-focused afternoon led by Live Well Lead Well, a custom culinary experience with James Beard Award-winning Chef Christopher Gross at Christopher’s at Wrigley Mansion, and an interactive culinary and cocktail experience with celebrity chef and TV personality Chef Beau MacMillan.
Gala & Auction, Arizona Biltmore Golf Club: A celebratory evening featuring gourmet dining, exceptional pairings from John Anthony Vineyards, and a high-energy auction of luxury packages and unique experiences. 100% of net event proceeds will be dedicated to funding critical cancer research through the V Foundation.
The Gala will be hosted by Vinny Del Negro, former NBA player and coach who played under V Foundation founder Jim Valvano during his college career at North Carolina State University.
The event will also honor Jerry Colangelo, business executive and philanthropist known for his extraordinary influence in Arizona sports, with leading roles with the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury and Arizona Diamondbacks throughout his career. Career highlights also include: Managing Director of the USA Basketball Men’s National Team, winning four Olympic gold medals, four-time NBA Executive of the Year, and Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee.
A V Foundation research grant will be awarded and named in honor of Colangelo.
In total, the V Foundation for Cancer Research has awarded over $458 million in grants to 1,423 of the best and brightest research teams across North America. The V Foundation has made a proven, positive impact on the cancer research landscape.
