Fourth Annual Desert Foothills Book Festival

October 18, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Free
  • « 17th Annual PoeFest
  • Dorrance DOME Opening Day »

The Holland Community Center, in partnership with Desert Foothills Library, is proud to present the Fourth Annual Desert Foothills Book Festival on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10AM to 3PM at the Holland Community Center. This free event invites readers of all ages to meet local authors, browse and purchase signed books across every genre, and enjoy freshly made, Neapolitan-style pizza from onsite food truck Pizzeria Del Torrente.

Thanks to a generous donation from Once Upon a Book Club, which provides book subscription boxes and bookish gifts, this year’s festival will include an exciting new giveaway: the first 100 attendees will receive a free book and gift box – valued at $60! These curated boxes offer a unique literary experience by pairing newly released novels with specially selected, book-related gifts.

Inspired by a group of local authors seeking a personal connection with book lovers and to promote an appreciation of the literary arts, the Desert Foothills Book Festival celebrates the importance of reading in the greater Phoenix, Scottsdale, Carefree and Cave Creek communities. The festival is designed for children and adults alike, creating an interactive, inclusive venue for readers and authors to connect. This year, approximately 40% of participating authors are new to the event, allowing attendees to discover an exciting selection of books they have not seen in past years.
