Giving back to the community can take many forms, but donating blood can, quite literally, give life. Each day, Vitalant needs 600 donors to maintain the blood supply needs for hospitals across Arizona. You can join Arrowhead Towne Center in meeting this demand by participating in a blood drive on Sunday, Sept. 21. A temporary donation center will be located in the Community Room, near the Food Court restrooms, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You don’t need to know your blood type to donate blood, and there is a critical need for all blood donors of all blood types in Arizona. The blood drive at Arrowhead Towne Center will offer appointments for common Whole Blood donations as well as Power Red donations, in which donors give two units of red blood cells in a single session.

After donating, participants can relax in the recovery area and make a stop in the Food Court for a light snack to replenish fluids and nutrients before making a visit to their favorite stores.
