Huss Brewing Co. and Phoenix Zoo Partner on Brewer’s Conservation Series
Huss Brewing Co. is partnering with the Phoenix Zoo to support the conservation of endangered species through a series of beers available at the zoo.
“We’ve partnered with the Phoenix Zoo for many years on selling some of our top brands, so when they approached us asking for a beer to be a part of their conservation efforts, we said yes!” said Erin Deuble, Huss’ on-premise territory manager. “The zoo helps in conservation of many different species, including some native to Arizona. As a brewery that is local to Arizona, the partnership with the Phoenix Zoo made sense.”
The first beer in the Brewer’s Conservation Series, Black Footed Ferret IPA, launched in October and can only be found at the zoo in cans, on tap and in six-packs at the zoo’s gift shop. The Phoenix Zoo is one of only six black-footed ferret breeding facilities in the world. The second beer in the series, Cactus Ferruginous Pygmy Owl Lager, will debut in February.
“The Phoenix Zoo experiences many in-state and out-of-state visitors every year, and we wanted the Brewer’s Conservation Series to be remembered by those guests,” Deuble said. “We’ve had a great rollout so far, and with ZooLights starting on Nov. 22, we expect to see a big uptick in sales and support.”
Owned by husband and wife Jeff and Leah Huss, who have over three decades of combined experience in the brewing industry, Huss Family of Beers is the third largest brewer in Arizona and includes Huss Brewing, Papago Brewing and Arizona Light.
