An all-natural 20-acre oasis in the heart of Scottsdale, Singh Farms is serving up something uniquely delicious at its weekly market this Saturday, May 4th 2013. Enjoy “in season pricing” of $.50 for all delicious, fresh-picked artichokes. A staple of the heart-healthy Mediterranean diet, artichokes might look intimidating to cook, but it’s actually incredibly versatile—you can steam, bake, boil, broil, grill, microwave or even pickle it. Plus, fresh artichokes are brimming with healthful nutrients, including fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, magnesium, potassium, and manganese.
Expect artichokes prepared every which way from steamed and grilled to cold artichoke soup, to marinated artichokes and spinach artichoke dips. There will also be a chef on-site to chat with guests about growing and harvesting as well as share different ways to prepare artichokes.  Also available will be Boho Farm’s spectacular lemon curd and jellies, Goldwater Mercantile’s Southwest flavors, musical guest Roman Orona, and local artist Hugo Medina.
