Hushabye Nursery: The Curing Power of Cuddling

Hushabye Nursery is Tara Sue Sundem’s labor of love. Born from hope, heart and her 25 years as a neonatal nurse, Sundem started the non-profit nursery to treat substance-exposed newborns and positively change the course of their lives. In the past four years, the nonprofit nursery has treated nearly 900 newborns with compassionate, evidence-based, trauma-informed care. A large part of that care is cuddling, which has proven to reduce the need for medication. Hushabye also provides services and education to mothers or caregivers and has exciting new news to share.
