The Desert Foundation Auxiliary (DFA) will mark its 59th year of tradition with the Desert Ball on December 20, 2025, in the Grand Ballroom of The Phoenician Resort. Established in 1966, DFA honors exceptional young women from the City of Scottsdale, Scottsdale Unified School District, and the towns of Paradise Valley, and Carefree through its time-honored Debutante presentation. This year, sixteen Debutantes will be formally presented during an elegant evening, carrying forward the legacy of excellence, service, and community leadership that defines the Desert Foundation Auxiliary. Each December, the Desert Ball welcomes these college freshmen home for a formal event shared with family and friends. Beyond celebrating its Debutantes, DFA remains dedicated to philanthropy, providing meaningful support for 501(c)(3) organizations that focus on charitable, scientific, literary, and educational purposes. The 2025 benefiting charities are The Miracle League of Arizona and AzDA Cares.
