What: Throughout the month of May, Mental Health Awareness Month, dining out can make a difference. The Mesa and Prescott locations of Red, White & Brew are teaming up with M.I.K.I.D. (Mentally Ill Kids in Distress), an Arizona nonprofit improving the behavioral health and wellness of children and youth through its family centered approach.

From May 1st through May 31st, guests are invited to this neighborhood eatery known for its scratch-made meals and welcoming atmosphere for this special “Dine & Donate” partnership.

Guests can enjoy the fan-favorite Lemon Basil Chicken entrée and a local favorite Church Music IPA from The Shop Beer Co.—all for a good cause. Two dollars from each dish and one dollar from each pint will be donated directly to M.I.K.I.D., which provides critical support, prevention education, and reunification of families navigating the challenges of youth mental health. Every bite and sip helps ensure no child or family feels alone in their journey.

Why: All proceeds support M.I.K.I.D.’s child and family programs along with the nonprofit’s Benefit Concert in September to raise funds and awareness for children’s mental health.

About M.I.K.I.D. M.I.K.I.D. (Mentally Ill Kids In Distress) is an Arizona 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the mental and behavioral health of children and youth through a family-centered approach. More than 80% of M.I.K.I.D.’s staff and 51% of the board have lived experience with a behavioral health challenge in their own families. M.I.K.I.D. provides support for parents on navigating the systems of care and helps children, teens, and youth ages birth to 25, learn to cope with their challenges and develop into stable, self-sufficient, and successful adults.
