Esperança Rebrands

BY Karen Werner

For more than 53 years, Esperança has worked to create a world where every person is thriving, creating new possibilities and promising futures. It has earned a reputation as a nonprofit that listens to communities and works alongside them to meet the needs they identify.

To better reflect who the organization is today and better represent the communities in which it serves, Esperança has rebranded and become Advance – Partnering for Healthy Communities. The organization now works to advance health equity all over the world, so the term Advance and the idea of branding as Advance captures the active and purpose-driven nature of that work. The new brand also represents the organization’s ultimate goal to build optimal health in under-resourced communities across the globe.

With the transition to Advance, there are no changes to the existing programming and, if anything, it offers an opportunity to move into new communities. “This change will help us be a better, stronger organization for all those we serve today and tomorrow,” said Mistie Weishaar, chair of the Advance board of directors.
