Taking to the Skies with Arizona’s Youth

Fledging Youth is a nonprofit dedicated to exposing youth to the world of aviation through unique programs, such as the Skyward Youth Aviation & Aerospace Academy Summer Program and Ground School. Expert instructors utilize the latest state-of-the-art technology to facilitate training and instruction to give students the skills, experience and confidence they need to maximize their potential.

Skyward Youth Academy was started by people with a passion for flight. Its mission is to introduce students to aviation and aerospace while enhancing their knowledge in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Whether students pursue a career in aviation or simply enjoy planes as a hobby, Skyward Youth is proud to guide them on their path.

Program topics include aviation history, flight physics, aerodynamics, airport operation & safety, aircraft design and flight instruction using state-of-the-art simulators and VR technology.

Skyward Youth Academy’s next steps include extending its programs to more students in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and surrounding tribal communities. Skyward Youth seeks donor support to provide these programs to more youth around the Valley.

In this way, Fledging Youth hopes to have a greater impact on Arizona’s youth and increase their knowledge and interest in aviation and aerospace.
