An Intimate Evening with Priscilla Presley

February 28 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm
$125 – $500
  • « Mesa Arts Center Foundation Gala – An Arts Ignited, Elegant Evening with Priscilla Presley – Feb 28 | 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM
  • Snow Week at Arizona Science Center »

Priscilla Presley has often been called an Icon of the Entertainment World. Now, Priscilla Presley is finally going to tell HER story of the years with the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. Priscilla was the only one who actually married the King, and she feels it is time to tell her story. Even though she was only fourteen years old when she met Elvis, her memories are clear and tell a fascinating tale of a young girl who, for reasons she finally explains, was someone whom Elvis wanted to know. And for years after they met, they were inseparable until his passing in 1977.

Priscilla will share film clips that have been private to her, including wedding footage, home movies and clips from her own personal career in film, and on television in the famed series, “Dallas” on which she starred for five years. She speaks of Elvis as a husband, as a father, and the challenge of being married to the greatest Rock and Roll star in the world! She talks of how she coped with the attention, and the “women” who always seemed to be in their life. The evening is filled with many film clips of their life together, plus private home movies of life at home, on vacation, and the intimate time they spent together and with their only child, Lisa Marie.

As glamorous as her life was, it was not always easy, and as Elvis grew older, she had to learn how to navigate all that came with his fame. She explains what it was like to deal with his death.

It is an evening of magic, memories, and truth of what it was really like to be the wife of probably the most famous performer in the world. Most important to her as well, is the dream and work to keep his legacy alive, as well as manage one of the most famous tourist locations in America, Graceland. At the end of the show, the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions of Priscilla and she is always happy to tell her truth as she lived with the King, and at the same time, had to maintain her own life and legacy that accompanies the name, Presley.
