Imprints of Honor has announced a two-year partnership with the Arizona State Society, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), to expand outreach and engagement for its after-school character and civic education program. The initiative will support efforts to increase student and veteran participation, connect with additional educational institutions and extend the organization’s reach throughout Arizona, particularly in rural communities.

The partnership will bring together DAR members from across the state to help identify prospective schools, establish new Imprints of Honor chapters and connect students with veterans in their communities. Members will also fundraise to cover startup costs and have opportunities to volunteer with new chapters, supporting teachers and students with activities such as interviewing veterans, editing student publications and organizing civic and veteran recognition events.

“It is an incredible honor to serve as Arizona State Regent and work alongside dedicated DAR members throughout our state,” Daughters of the American Revolution Arizona State Regent Katie Paulsen said. “I look forward to the next two years as we serve our communities, honor our veterans and preserve the stories and history that connect generations.”

Now in its 23rd year, Imprints of Honor works to Connect Students with Veterans™ to honor veterans, preserve America’s heritage and develop future leaders. The organization annually serves more than 300 veterans and 300 students in grades seven through 12 and college across 31 schools.

Its veteran speaker program also reaches more than 1,500 students. Since its founding, the organization has helped preserve the legacies of more than 3,400 veterans through submissions to the Library of Congress Veterans History Project and its student publication, Since You Asked.®

“As we continue to build our program, we are always appreciative of the support by organizations in our community who are willing to support veterans and students,” said Imprints of Honor Executive Director, Michelle DiMuro. “We are grateful to be selected by the Arizona State Regent for this two-year venture to expand our outreach across the state.”

Through its programs, students have the opportunity to learn directly from veterans, document their experiences and gain a deeper understanding of the history and service that have shaped their communities. The partnership with DAR will help make those opportunities accessible to more students.

The expanded outreach is especially important for communities where access to educational and civic engagement programs may be limited. By helping establish new school chapters and providing financial and volunteer support, DAR members will play an active role in bringing students and veterans together.
