What’s right about Arizona?
Arizona State University President Dr. Michael Crow will present the keynote address at Scottsdale Forward 2013. The event will be held in the Performing Arts Center at Scottsdale Community College on Thursday, March 21. It will be a fast-paced, informative and invigorating economic development symposium and is open to all area residents interested in future economic development in Scottsdale.
Dr. Crow will discuss what’s right about Arizona. Following his remarks there will be presentations focusing on an innovative, collaborative business attraction initiative underway, Scottsdale’s new five-year tourism master plan, successful entrepreneurial activities in Scottsdale and the economic advantages of local purchasing.
Featured speakers include Scottsdale CVB President and CEO Rachel Sacco, Gordon McConnell, Assistant Vice President, Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Venture Acceleration at ASU, Kimber Lanning, the founder and Director of Local First Arizona, and Scottsdale Area Chamber Board Chair Eric Larson.
Audience members will have the opportunity to participate through unique digital interactive devices, as well as in a question and answer panel session with the speakers.
The symposium is sponsored by the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce and is the fifth in a series focusing on economic development in the city and the region.
To accommodate busy schedules and encourage participation, the event on March 21 is scheduled to start at 7:15 a.m. and conclude by 10:15 a.m. Admission is $15 and includes a continental breakfast as well as follow-up materials from the presentations.
