In the Bag: Coral
The temperature is slowly rising in the Valley, and that means it's time to warm up your makeup, too. A simple way to transition your look (and mood) from winter to spring is with the addition of coral. A shade that complements many skin tones, this classic tropical hue works for both day and night.
Here are products to try:
If you are timid to try a citrus shade, try a softer palette with hints of the hue like this Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Nectar (above right). Brush on the cheeks to create a natural, coral glow and on the eyes for an evening out.
If you want a bit more pop, a few dabs of Kevyn Aucoin Pure Powder Glow Blush in Fira (above left) adds instant warmth to any complexion. (Don't worry: After application, the vibrant orange melts into a softer, sun-kissed glow.)
Your pucker can also receive a kiss from the tropics. For a subtle hint, try Trish McEvoy Flawless Lip Color in Coral Shimmer; for stronger color, try Tom Ford Beauty Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in Peach Absolute. Wear alone or layer under your go-to lipstick.
A simple change in polish can also be the beauty pick-me-up you need. Try Yves Saint Laurent Beaute La Laque No 5 Corail Divin polish or the high-gloss Tom Ford Beauty Nail Lacquer in Ginger Fire.
