Women’s Group Announces Grants

Women & Philanthropy, the Arizona State University Foundation women’s organization that invests both time and money to support selected educational opportunities, announced its 2011-12 grant recipients at an April 24 celebration luncheon at Camelback Golf Club.

 

Investment committee co-chairs Judie Lyon and Debbie Hall announced that for the fourth year, the organization has awarded a $100,000 grant. This year, it went to the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering to support the Intensive Learning Environment Bridge program, helping community college students successfully transition into ASU engineering programs.

 

This year, Women & Philanthropy funded six programs, totaling $257,250. Since its inception in 2002, the organization has granted $1,985,709 for 61 ASU programs and initiatives.
