Ruth Hatch

Ruth Hatch tragically left this world to return to her loving Heavenly Father on Feb. 4, 2012, in Show Low, Navajo County, Ariz. She was 66 years old.

 

Ruth was born in Snowflake, Navajo County, Ariz., on March 6, 1945, to the late Jesse N. and Marvel (Bailey) Smith. She grew up in Snowflake, where she met her childhood sweetheart, Gerald R. Hatch.

 

In June 1967, she and Gerald married, and they remained best friends and business partners for 44 years. They raised six sons and one daughter while growing their business in Snowflake.

 

Ruth was a loving, kind, compassionate mother, sister, daughter and friend to many. She loved to travel, cook and plan parties, but she especially loved to spend time with her family. Her children and grandchildren brought her great joy and "we will all miss her very much."

 

Ruth was a devout and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Among her callings were: Relief Society President, Young Women's President, Relief Society teacher, Sunday School teacher and visiting teacher coordinator.
