Roy Papp’s Death Leaves Void

In 1977, with a government assignment winding down, Roy Papp faced a decision: Upon returning to the U.S., where should he settle?

He and his wife, Marilyn, decided on Phoenix, sight unseen. It’s a decision they never regretted and one that helped the Valley, too, as Papp built one of Arizona’s larger investment firms and became a major supporter of local universities and charity groups, especially in the arts.
