Ford/Robert Black Agency Celebrates 25 Years
Robert Black remembers the first time he met Sheree Kirkeby. He was the young, successful owner of the Robert Black Agency, which in 1991 was on its way to becoming one of the most respected modeling agencies in the state. He traveled regularly to the fashion capitals of the world, meeting supermodels and networking internationally.
But on this day, the person waiting in Black’s office was a local seventh-grade girl with braces on her teeth who had won the chance to meet him by tap dancing in a talent contest. At 12, she was already an awkward 5 feet, 11 inches. Yet she impressed him.
