Dbacks Charity Gave $14.9 mil in 10 Years

The Arizona Diamondbacks once again provided hundreds of shoes, sweatshirts and gift bags to needy children this month (December), but the baseball team’s charitable giving isn’t limited to the Christmas season.

The Diamondbacks said combined giving from the team and its non-profit charitable arm will eclipse $30 million next spring, when the organization dedicates the Justin Upton field in central Phoenix.

In addition to building and refurbishing ballparks around the state, the Diamondbacks since their inception in 1998 have made large cash donations to non-profit charities across metro Phoenix and have hosted the annual Winter Classic Holiday Party.
