Carol C. Reade

Carol C. Reade passed away May 26, 2012, on her 50th wedding anniversary. Born May 14, 1940, in Evansville, Ind., she lived in fives states and traveled extensively all her life.

 

She graduated from Camelback High School in 1958 and from Arizona State University in 1962 with a bachelor’s degree in education. She is survived by sons Christopher L. Reade of Glendale, Ariz., and Gregory S. Reade, along with Gregory's wife Sandy N. Reade, their son Taylor S. Reade, and their daughter Siena K. Reade, all of La Jolla, Calif.; sisters Linda Elgas of Anaheim Hills, Calif., and Debra Zielinski of Lynnville, Ind.; and brother Irvin J. Coon Jr. of Sun City West, Ariz.

 

Wife to Robert, mother, devoted Christian, elementary school teacher in Tucson, Phoenix and Scottsdale, Ariz., Carol also taught Sunday school for seven years at First Christian Church in Phoenix and led Bible studies for women.

 

At ASU, Carol was a member of Mortar Board, Natani, Spurs, Pleiades and Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. Carol was a member of Chapter R. of P.E.O. and a president of Phoenix 100 Rotaryanns.
