Barbara Scott Nelson

Barbara Scott Nelson passed away in her Sedona home May 26, 2012. Born in Ripon, Wisc., she was the daughter of Hazel Royce and Marshall Scott.

She was married to Robert George Nelson for 51 years. Robert preceded her in death. They had four children: Julie Firestone, Ann Harrington, Andrew Nelson and Scotty Nelson (deceased).

Barbara served as a trustee for Ripon College, Ripon, Wisc., and the Orme School, Mayer, Ariz. She was a past president of the Milwaukee, Wisc., Junior League. She enjoyed cooking, being with friends, sailing and toasting the town. Her needlepoint and crocheting were remarkable, symbolized by baby blankets, Christmas stockings and wall hangings.
