Banner to Open 4 Clinics, New Tower

Banner Health will spend more than $190 million on a new 144-bed hospital tower at Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix and four outpatient health centers in the East Valley.

Banner will start construction of the $151 million tower at Banner Estrella in August, with an anticipated opening in July 2015. The Phoenix-based health system also will spend $45 million to open Banner Health Center clinics next year in Chandler, East Mesa, Gilbert and Queen Creek.
