Phoenix Rising FC Charities held its first annual Charity Soccer Ball on Oct. 12 at Scottsdale Hangar One. More than 250 people attended the sold-out event, which honored the playing career and final season of Didier Drogba. Guests enjoyed live and silent auctions, a photo session with Drogba, dinner, dancing and live entertainment by DJ Walshy Fire of Major Lazer. Funds raised benefit Phoenix Rising FC Youth Soccer, a nonprofit dedicated to preventing financial disparities from limiting opportunities for deserving kids to participate in youth soccer programs.
