The wedding was officiated by Uqualla, a Havasupai Indian who resides in Sedona. The ceremony incorporated many traditional Native American wedding rituals such as the holding of eagle feathers, drinking sacred water from an Indian wedding vase and the Navajo blanket exchange. Madie, their daughter, read from Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet.
