Duet: Partners In Health & Aging Wins Phoenix Chamber IMPACTful Award

Duet: Partners In Health & Aging has been selected as the 2017 IMPACTful Nonprofit Award recipient, the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce announced.

The IMPACTful Nonprofit Award highlights a nonprofit with a strong footprint in the Valley that serves a valuable mission and is deserving of special recognition. Duet was originally selected as an award finalist through an application process with the Chamber and then won the award through an online voting competition.

Duet is a nonprofit, interfaith organization that promotes health and well-being through an expansive range of services to homebound adults, family caregivers, faith communities and grandparents raising grandchildren. Its services are available at no charge to those in need throughout the Valley.

“I am deeply honored that Duet has been selected to receive the prestigious IMPACTful Nonprofit Award,” says Elizabeth Banta, executive director. “Duet’s board of directors and staff join me in thanking Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce and all who voted for making this distinction possible. We look forward to growing our health and aging services in the months and years ahead, together with many dedicated volunteers and other partners in service.”

“We are extremely excited to recognize Duet as the 2017 IMPACTful Nonprofit Award recipient,” says Janelle Tassart, director of community relations for the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. “Duet’s tireless work in providing a wide array of services supporting aging Valley residents stood out among the four outstanding nonprofit finalists up for this year’s award.”

Other IMPACTful Nonprofit Award finalists were American Red Cross of Greater Phoenix; Arizona Community Foundation and Arizona Forward.

Duet will receive the award at the 30th Anniversary IMPACT Awards Luncheon, hosted by the Chamber, on May 10. Info: phoenixchamber.com
