MIM Brings Elvis Back to Arizona

Elvis Presley is participating in Arizona’s centennial celebration.

The Musical Instrument Museum in north Phoenix this week debuts a display of all things Elvis-in-Arizona to celebrate his history in the state, which turned 100 in February.

Elvis archivists have a standing display at the museum, Elvis Remix, that they update every 18 months. This 18-month exhibit features several items the King wore and carried while on tour in Arizona, and when he starred as the character Jess Wade in the 1969 Arizona-based film “Charro!” about a man wrongly accused of stealing a cannon from Mexican revolutionaries.
