100 Years of Business

The Arizona Republic has gathered vintage business images submitted by people throughout the state. The historic photos, such as this photo of Mae West who appeared in front of The Orpheum Theater in downtown Phoenix to promote her new movie in 1933, are divided into three categories: Businesses, Clothes and Equipment. Whether you are a native Arizonan or new to the state, you will enjoy The Republic’s slideshow of the way things used to be.

Courtesy Chevrolet, with its well-known arrow sign, has been at its

Camelback Road location since 1957.
