EVENT HISTORY
The Frontdoors Philanthropic Honors was previous the Society of Chairs Gala. Society of Chairs was started by former Frontdoors society editor, Linda Herold, in 2010 and then presented by National Bank of Arizona from 2014 to 2017. Since 2018, Frontdoors is honored to continue this tradition of inviting those who lift our community through philanthropy. The new name, Frontdoors Philanthropic Honors, is a reflection of this special evening and will continue to recognize fundraising event chairs in addition to the expanded awards program that has grown each year.
FRONTDOORS MEDIA & THE RED BOOK
Frontdoors is the premier source of information — and inspiration — for those who strive to make the Valley of the Sun a better place to live. This includes our community’s most philanthropic corporations, individuals and foundations. Through Frontdoors Magazine, The Red Book community directory, our weekly e-newsletter, “The Knock”, FrontdoorsTV with Carey Peña and our social media channels, Frontdoors celebrates the people and groups who generously give and work to build the future of our community. Our combined reach is more than 20,000 print subscribers and 50,000 digital subscribers and followers.
GIVING BACK
Event proceeds will benefit both TGen and journalism scholarships at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University via The Sauce Foundation in memory of Mike Saucier, the former editor of Frontdoors Magazine who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2017. The Sauce Foundation is the official foundation of Frontdoors Media.
