Valley Youth Theater Brings ‘Madagascar’ to the Stage
Production of Valley Youth Theatre’s “Madagascar, A Musical Adventure” has begun at the Herberger Theater Center and will continue through Sunday, November 19.
The performance, which is based on the best-selling DreamWorks film, was adapted for the stage by Kevin Del Aguila and features upbeat music and lyrics by George Noriega and Joel Someillan.
The musical follows the story of beloved characters such as Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo and the infamous plotting penguins as they attempt to escape their home in the New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to Madagascar.
Valley Youth Theatre is an award-winning nonprofit theatre for young people. Its alumni include Emma Stone, Jordin Sparks, Kimiko Glenn and more.
