The 36th annual event, which continues the legacy of Bombeck, was hosted by the Arizona Women’s Board and chaired by Lynne Love. It netted in excess of $450,000, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the many needs of kidney patients in Arizona.
This year’s featured authors included Adriana Trigiani, author of 15 bestsellers, including The Shoemaker’s Wife; Jacques Pépin, famed cooking instructor who has written more than 25 cookbooks and starred in 13 acclaimed cooking series on public TV; Karen MacNeil, author of the award-winning Wine Bible; Lela Rose, author of Prêt-A-Party; Jason Gay, Wall Street Journal sports columnist who wrote Little Victories: Perfect Rules for Imperfect Living; and Tess Gerritsen, internationally bestselling author who just released Playing With Fire.
The day included a VIP authors signing event, book sales reception, luncheon and presentations by the authors. Adriana Trigliani served as the emcee. White House Design Studio created the luncheon table décor.
