Evening of Goodwill
JW Marriott’s Camelback Inn provided the perfect Western backdrop for Goodwill of Central Arizona’s 12th Annual Evening of Goodwill on Oct. 13. More than 500 guests attended the Denim and Diamonds-themed event, raising $409,000-plus through sponsorship, general donations, silent auction and raffle sales to support Goodwill’s mission to Put People to Work.
The evening included pre-dinner entertainment by Shotgun Shack and dressing up in Western attire. A barbecue dinner, grilled onsite, was served al fresco at red-and-white checked tables. And following dinner, guests enjoyed line dancing to the music of Rattlecat Junction.
ABC15 co-anchor Susan Casper emceed the evening’s events, and, with Jim Teter, president and CEO of Goodwill of Central Arizona, presented Goodwill’s Youth Honoree of the Year, Tara Bullock. Brian McDaniel was honored with the Adult Participant of the Year award, and Michael Pollack and his wife, Cheryl, were named Business Partner of the Year.
