AWEE Faces of Success Honors 3 Women
Three Valley women from significantly different backgrounds were honored by Arizona Women’s Education and Employment (AWEE) on Nov. 16 at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. Faces of Success, the organization’s annual fundraising luncheon, drew almost 480 guests and raised $220,000.
The 2016 Faces of Success are Tracey Latham, Keanna Curry and Amanda Howard, whose stories of overcoming remarkable challenges were inspirational.
The luncheon event included giveaways and raffles, including an 18-carat white gold, oval link diamond bracelet with three carats of round diamonds donated by Alfredo J. Molina, chairman and CEO of Black, Starr & Frost.
Nan Ater and Beth McMullen co-chaired the luncheon, and 3TV news anchor Nicole Crites, KTAR news anchor, and Molina served as co-emcees. Vases for the centerpieces were designed by Paul McCartney’s daughter, Heather, and contributed by an anonymous donor.
Since its inception, AWEE, a workforce development organization, has helped create successful beginnings and renewed hope for more than 200,000 women, men and young adults.
