58th Annual Black & White Ball Honors Community Leaders
Eleven hundred guests attended the Black & White Ball Business Awards on May 7 at the Arizona Biltmore.
The 58th annual event, presented by the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, honored Linda Mazon Gutierrez, president and CEO of the Hispanic Women’s Corporation as the Woman of the Year. Edmundo Hidalgo, vice president for Outreach Partnerships at Arizona State University, was recognized as Man of the Year. Mario Martinez, founder and managing director of MRTNZ Ventures, received the Entrepreneur of the Year award. JP Morgan Chase & Co. was recognized as Corporation of the Year; and Dr. Rufus Glasper, president and CEO of the League of Innovation in the Community College, received the Legacy Award.
The program featured a Hispanic Chamber video rendition of Carpool Karaoke with special guest star Alfredo Molina of Black, Starr & Frost singing “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.” Following dinner, Urban Electra and DJ Leo Blaze entertained.
