27th Annual NiteFlite Generates Nearly $400K
Scottsdale Active 20-30 Club raised $396,319 during its 27th annual NiteFlite. The two-day event was held Oct. 14 and Oct. 15. Friday’s charity golf tournament at the Camelback Golf Club included a chance to play on the Padre Course. Players enjoyed complimentary drinks and food with prize opportunities throughout the day.
Saturday’s event was a gala at the Entertainment District of Old Town Scottsdale. About 2,000 people mingled in and around Hi-Fi Kitchen and Cocktails, Bottled Blonde, and The District. The event featured break dancers from Bboy Gravity, speed painter Randall Hedden, magician Shawn Eric, the band SuperHero and food from local restaurants such as Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, Melting Pot, Even Stevens Sandwiches, The Park and Sprinkles Cupcakes.
A raffle drawing throughout the evening benefited more than a dozen local children’s nonprofits, including the event’s primary charity partner, Playworks. Playworks partners with elementary schools to create a place for every child on the playground, a place where every child belongs.
NiteFlite is Scottsdale Active 20-30 Club’s largest signature fundraising event of the year, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities.
