Committee Kicks off 58th Annual Heart Ball at Montelucia

Committee members gathered at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia on Feb. 15 to kick off the 58^th Annual Heart Ball. The breakfast was held in the resort’s beautiful Castillo Lucena Chapel. In addition to preparing for the Nov. 18 ball, the committee, led by chairman Char Hubble, will spend the year raising awareness and funds to battle heart disease and stroke, which claim the lives of one in three women.

Attendees at the kickoff event were greeted in the Montelucia courtyard with passed champagne and a gourmet coffee bar. Many were dressed in designer fashions, including Sylvia Shoen, who wore Louis Vuitton straight from Paris.

Jamie Herzlinger and DeeDee Vecchione co-chaired the kickoff event. Herzlinger designed the table arrangement for the breakfast, which reflected the multi-color theme chosen by Hubble for this year’s ball. Each attendee received one of the lovely centerpieces as a takeaway favor. Hubble also announced her theme for the year “Infinite Hearts,” inspired by the 8s in Nov. 18 and 58th annual. As guests enjoyed their breakfast, Saks Fifth Avenue provided a runway show featuring the fashions of Robert Cavalli.

In addition to Hubble, the executive committee for Heart Ball 2017 includes Carolyn Jackson, chairman elect; Molly Stockley and Jennifer Moser, vice chairmen; Lynne Love, Sweetheart; and Sylvia and Joe Shoen, honorary chairs.
