AWEE Faces of Success Luncheon Features Inspiring Success Stories
More than 700 people heard incredible stories of strength, perseverance and survival by Arizona Women’s Education & Employment’s (AWEE) Faces of Success at the 2015 Faces of Success Luncheon on Nov. 4 at the Arizona Biltmore.
Tracey Latham, Julie Gilbert and her mentor Kimberly Russell, and Angela Raw were recognized at the annual fundraiser co-chaired by Vicki Davis of SRP and Beth McMullen of Avnet. CBS5’s Nicole Crites, KTAR’s Jim Sharpe and and Black, Starr & Frost emceed the event.
Special guests included Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, the Phoenix Suns Gorilla and the Phoenix Mercury’s Scorch. The high-energy event included Let’s Make A Deal-style giveaways and raffles, featuring a $5,000 pair of Black, Starr & Frost diamond earrings, which were won by Davis.
“Our 2015 Faces of Success are each strong and resilient women who made life-changing decisions,” says Marie Sullivan, AWEE president and CEO.
“For Julie and Angela, those decisions literally saved their lives. For Tracey, it meant taking a huge risk with a goal to start her own business in a highly competitive industry. We are incredibly proud and inspired by them.”
