VyT Names Managing Director
BRIDGET COSTELLO JOINS VALLEY YOUTH THEATRE LEADERSHIP
Bridget Costello, former director of development at Children’s Museum of Phoenix, has been named managing director for Valley Youth Theatre by its board of directors.
In her new role as managing director at VYT, Costello will collaborate with Bobb Cooper, producing artistic director, who has managed and grown the theater company since he started in 1996. “After 18 years of juggling creative, production and administrative responsibilities, I am very thankful to have Bridget on board,” Cooper said.
Upon earning her BFA in Theatre Education and a minor in English from ASU, Costello started teaching English and assisting with theatrical performances at Rhodes Junior High School in Mesa.
While coordinating special events like the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Phoenix, she also began fundraising for the American Ireland Fund and raised an average of $1 million a year for St. Mary’s High School.
As president and CEO of Emerald Consulting LLC, she consulted with nonprofits, schools and associations on service such as strategic plans, motivational speaking, retreat planning and board development.
Among other responsibilities, Costello will oversee the VYTal Affair fundraiser at the Herberger Theater Center on Aug. 16, 2014.
