Salvation Army Opens Fourth Valley Thrift Store

On June 2, The Salvation Army opened a new thrift store at 1849 W. Greenway Road in Phoenix. The new store brings the total of Salvation Army Family Store locations in the Valley to four.

Donations to these stores keep merchandise refreshed daily, and proceeds benefit the organization’s Adult Rehabilitation Centers, where those in the grip of addiction find help, hope and a second chance at life. Donations can be made through the Army’s pick-up service, drop-off bins, community centers and Family Stores.

“We welcome commonly donated items such as clothing or furniture and invite the community to browse our store aisles to discover an amazing deal or a rare treasure. Donating to and shopping at The Salvation Army thrift Stores makes a difference in the lives of many.”

Fore more than 100 years, The Salvation Army has provided assistance to people with a variety of physical and social afflictions through its United States-based Adult Rehabilitation Centers. The Adult Rehabilitation Centers comprise the largest residential rehabilitation program in the United States. The comprehensive service is free to the public and financed through the well-known Salvation Army thrift Stores. Proceeds help more than 216,000 people every year.
