Rancho Solano Ventura Campus Now in Session
The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Reservation is much more than gaming, a baseball stadium, and office buildings. The land that lies east of the 101 Freeway is now home to a private school for middle school and high school students.
On Aug. 23, 2012, Ranch Solano Preparatory School hosted the grand opening of the Ventura Campus. With more than 50 years in the Valley, the preparatory school has expanded its reach in our Community with the edition of its fourth campus. The ribbon cutting ceremonies and open house were attended by tribal members, faculty, students, parents, and U.S. Congressman, David Schweikert.
Diane Enos, President, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and James P. Carruthers, President, Rancho Solano Preparatory School, participated in very moving ceremony of exchanging flags of their respective nations.
The school is culturally diverse with its unique location on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Reservation and with students from around the world. In addition, scholarships will be available to children of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Community. By enrollment, Rancho Solano is known for its “student centric” approach to learning. Each student receives a Personal Learning Plan and the opportunity to participate in challenging, accelerated curriculums. Ranch Solano is the only private school in the greater Phoenix area to offer the accredited International Baccalaureate Programme(IB), which is recognized worldwide for its academic rigor.
