Pack Your Bags and Be Ready to Go

The West Valley Mavericks men’s organization, led by Dr. Randy Blazic, president, is hosting its inaugural Shindig, a suitcase party, Fri., Feb. 24. All guests are entered into a drawing to depart from the party for a getaway. The three fun destinations include Las Vegas and two Phoenix area stay-cations. Attendees are asked to dress in stylishly fashionable attire – not black-tie or formal – for the casino-themed party and be ready for a night out on the town (and possibly out of town).

The Shindig will be held at the Goodyear Airport, Lux Air Jet Centers. All net proceeds will benefit The West Valley Mavericks Foundation and distributed to local charities and causes through the group’s beneficiary process.

The spotlight charities for this event are Arizona Assistance in Healthcare, an organization that helps patients undergoing cancer treatment in the Phoenix metro area with non-medical expenses such as rent, utilities and groceries, and the New Life Center, an emergency shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence.

The evening begins with cocktails and dinner from P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Macaroni Grill, Nakama Sushi Restaurant and Lounge and the Wigwam Resort and Spa. Sapphire Sky will play live music for dancing, and Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino will have gaming area. Beer will be available in the Hensley Beer Garden.
