Betty Lesselyong

Betty Lesselyong passed away June 5, 2012. She was born March 18, 1914.

 

Betty had 98 wonderful, healthy years, and two months, not so much. Betty was born in Ironwood, Mich., attended Lawrence College in Appleton, Wis., where she studied music and became a lifelong lover of opera and ballet. She played the piano her entire adult life and hosted decades of sing-a-longs.

 

She married Frank Lesselyong in 1939. Both were born and raised in Ironwood. Betty and Frank had three children, Ann Warren of Bucks County, Pa., and Scottsdale, Ariz., John Lesselyong and his wife, Diane of Dallas, Texas, and Frank Lesselyong and his wife, Jane, of Phoenix.

 

Betty has been a widow since 1989 and throughout her life has lived life to the fullest. For the past six years, she has loved living at The Manors in Scottsdale, Ariz.
