Xavier Mothers’ Guild Invites Guests to Hop Aboard Holiday Train
Xavier College Preparatory Mothers’ Guild hosted its 43rd Annual Holiday Gala and Auction on Nov. 14. This year’s theme was “Believe . . . A Night to Hear the Magic,” based on the classic children’s book The Polar Express. Student conductors invited the more than 450 guests to hop aboard the festive “train” that traversed the school’s campus throughout the evening.
Joni Oltrogge and Christina Whittle co-chaired the gala affair, which featured silent and live auctions, dinner and an after party in the “Caboose” lounge. Sean McLaughlin, Bob Hubbard and Matt Young volunteered their talents as the evening’s auctioneers.
Proceeds raised benefit Xavier’s Legacy of Leadership Capital Campaign, which continues to fund Xavier’s Chapel of Our Lady, Founders Hall, Petznick Field, and Activity Center renovation.
