Desert Foundation Auxiliary Hosts 51st Annual Ball
The Desert Foundation Auxiliary’s 51st Annual Desert Ball celebrated accomplished young women Dec. 22 at The Phoenician. Debutantes presented at the Desert Ball are from the Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and Carefree areas.
White House Design Studio created the décor, featuring dramatic red, crystal and draping accents throughout the ballroom. The tables were dressed with red crush velvet and anchored with multiple-sized crystal vases, and the floral pieces incorporated antique hydrangeas, red blooming roses, carnations and tulips with greenery and a combination of shiny, matte and sparkling red balls.
Joan Raskin chaired the ball with Colleen Katz as her co-chair. Edward Reading was the debutante presenter. Proceeds from the Desert Ball are dispersed annually. This year’s funds will benefit Feeding Matters, Rosie’s House and Treasure House.
