Persian New Year Festival

The Persian New Year Festival is on Saturday, March 1, with the celebration opens its doors for a preshow at 2:00 p.m. with the event from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Scottsdale Civic Center (7380 E. Second St.), which highlights Persian foods like ice cream and kabobs and a Beer Garden featuring Parseas Persian Beer along with a selection of local wines, offering a perfect blend of traditional and modern tastes. A bustling Persian Bazaar will immerse visitors in the sights, sounds and flavors of Iran with a variety of artisanal goods, handmade crafts, spices and traditional clothing available for purchase. Local and international artists throughout the day include legendary comedian Maz Jobrani as the festival’s MC, Siriya Ensemble, Ali Azimi, Miriam Peretz and Nava Dance Collective, Peyman Salimi, LA Daf, Sheenubb and Rashin Kheiriyeh. Tickets for the festival are now on sale.
