Valley United Way Advocate Named to Global Women’s Council
Valley of the Sun United Way board member and advocate Jenny Holsman Tetreault has been selected to serve on the organization’s prestigious Women United Global Leadership Council.
In addition to serving on the organization’s board, Tetreault is the co-chair of the Women United Steering Committee and has been volunteering with United Way for over a decade serving in a variety of leadership roles including as a campaign chair for the Arizona State University Alumni Association, a cabinet member, a co-chair for Generation United and a member of the Hunger Leadership Council.
“I am incredibly honored to serve on the Women United Global Leadership Council and to represent all of the Women United members in the Valley of the Sun,” said Tetreault. “By globally convening women invested in building stronger communities, we will be continuing the fight to ensure the health, education, and financial stability of every person, in every community. I am excited about being a part of this strategic and creative work, and look forward to bringing many of these advocacy and programmatic elements to our local Women United.”
The Women United Global Leadership Council is an advisory body comprised of 21 stakeholders that provides strategic recommendations to United Way Worldwide to foster the effectiveness of the work of local women’s leadership groups and mobilize women leaders to create new women’s leadership groups in their local communities.
In addition to her work with the United Way, Tetreault is regional general counsel for US Foods, Inc., serves on the Board of the Girl Scouts, Herberger Theater, Goodwill, Florence Crittenton, Charter 100, Arizona Foundation for Women and the International School of Arizona. She is also active with the Junior League of Phoenix, Arizona State University and Alpha Phi Fraternity.
