Picnic Under the Stars Co Chair

Linda 2014
For more than a 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. Now, more people survive cancer than ever before and new paths towards cure are being found all the time. The organization reports a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s which is amazing.
Part of the community support and process of financial support is the annual Picnic Under The Stars. Started 55 years ago in the backyard of the Robert and Margaret Goldwater, the evening event features silent and live auctions, entertainment and dancing.
Linda Greer, Picnic Under the Stars co chair carries on this tradition started by the Goldwaters so many years ago. As a radiologist in breast cancer imaging she has spent most of her adult life helping women deal with breast cancer. She is passionate and privileged to help women start their cancer journey with knowledge and hope.

THIS IS WHO I AM…

Inspired by… the strength of my patients.
Led by… the desire to help women navigate a difficult time as easily as possible.
Moved by… those videos where soldiers return home to their dogs!
Amused by… almost everything!
Relaxed by… being creative with beading and jewelry making.
Angered by… selfishness.
Charmed by… a great sense of humor!
