MIM Rocks Fashion

Phoenix Fashion Week kicks off its 2013 series of events this month by teaming up with the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) for the fourth-annual “MIM Rocks Fashion” spring showcase. Presented by Scottsdale-based Focal Point Salon, “MIM Rocks Fashion” serves as a music-themed tribute to top stylists from Phoenix to Tucson and showcases on-trend spring fashions from a talented lineup of designers and boutiques.

“Phoenix Fashion Week is thrilled to host its fourth installment of MIM Rocks Fashion,” said Brian Hill, Executive Director for Phoenix Fashion Week. “Music inspires fashion in so many ways and MIM Rocks Fashion showcases what’s hot in fashion and in music right now,” he said.

On Friday, March 29th, starting at 7 p.m., guests at MIM will be treated to a Meet & Greet Mixer, trendy spring fashions and classic designer styles, with an interactive fashion show, entertainment by a special musical guest, followed by an after party. A portion of the event proceeds will benefit the M.U.S.I.C. Foundation of Arizona, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization supporting music and youth programs in Arizona.

Special guest Bri Seeley, PHXFW 2012 Designer of the Year will be on hand from Seattle, Washington to launch her spring 2013 Escape collection for “MIM Rocks Fashion” before its April debut on Zappos.com.

“After winning the Designer of the Year title, the winning package continues to give me amazing opportunities to showcase my collections,” Bri Seely said.

The other (4) top brands are: Clothes Minded, ENVY by Khanh, Divaz Boutique and Amir’s La Voûte, each showcasing fourteen runway looks conceived by notable Arizona based stylists set to the sounds of internationally-renowned DJ Q and performance’s by the night’s special musical guest.

Bri Seeley

Based out of Seattle, Washington, Bri Seeley is uniquely feminine fashion for the inspired woman. The styles are contemporary with intriguing details, and Made in America with the highest quality fabrics. Each piece is designed to enhance the female figure and allow the wearer’s inner beauty to shine. Bri’s clients rave about her ability to invoke a feeling of confidence through fashion.  Bri Seeley’s Escape Collection was seen gracing the PHXFW 2012 runway, where Bri was named ‘Designer of the Year.’

Stylist, Brian Swan

Brian J Swan is a seasoned, creative, reliable Professional Fashion Stylist. Brian has been styling for over 6 years & is the owner of Right Hand Man Image Consulting. He continues to work with both men & women of all ages, professions, sizes and backgrounds. Brian’s work includes celebrity styling, personal styling, photo/video shoots, TV, fashion shows, editorials, campaigns and more. Most recently, Brian has relocated to Las Vegas to join the Zappos.com team as a stylist.

ENVY by Khanh

As a fashion designer, Khanh has developed an audacious aesthetic of femininity, juxtaposing tradition and innovation.  Bold lines, bold colors and bold geometric shapes make ENVY BY KHANH immediately recognizable.  After debuting his impressive Emerging Designer collection at PHXFW 2012, Khanh plans to wow again with his fashion forward Spring collection featuring trendy cutout details and colorblocking.

Stylist, Fawn Cheng

Fawn’s philosophy stems from her affinity to capture and express what is artfully unique about her clients. “Beauty comes from within; how we dress and share our physical selves with the world is a powerful expression of that.” Fawn is a featured keynote speaker and fashion expert on Good Morning Arizona and is currently a Project Manager at JANI Model Management.

Divaz Boutique

Shop with confidence. Divaz Boutique was formed in 1997, with their first store opening in 1998. The store is psycho-selective on buying decisions regarding fabric, fit, and brands chosen. Stylist, Yeka Bruner

A world citizen, Yekatherina’s global travels have shaped her culturally-diverse approach to fashion. In addition to her love for style, Yekatherina has a wide experience as a fashion show producer. Yekatherina Bruner has recently been named as a Glamour Magazine “Glambassador ” for 2013. Based out of Tucson, Yeka looks to bridge the fashion gap between Tucson and Phoenix through styling the Tucson-headquartered Divaz Boutique.

Clothes Minded

After being in the retail industry for nearly 20 years, owner Kim Kendall felt it was time to open a shop of her own. Located in the Ahwatukee Foothills area on Ray Road the I-10, Clothes Minded is a boutique featuring hand selected, trendy pieces from recognizable brands like Ella Moss and BB Dakota, along with many PHXFW brands like Shawl Dawls, Jhaus and more!

Stylist, Rochelle York

Rochelle is a native from Glendale, Arizona and has been a personal stylist since 2006. She has had over a decade of experience in retail and working with photographers, television personalities and women in the valley find the right style for them! Rochelle is also a featured fashion expert and stylist on 3TV’s ‘Your Life A-Z’.
